Tyre's Flat, so is Rae's Wallet

google image
How unlucky can one be? Sigh. Had a flat tyre yesterday (it's TYRE, as in British). Went to work as usual and around noon, a colleague told me that one of my tyres was flat. I've must have hit something while driving to work. But I feel a bit lucky that I have colleagues that helped me changing the tyre. Anyway, my dad's been screaming at me for delaying the trip to the car service centre (hey, isn't CENTRE American? Hahaha!). Ah I shudder thinking about the credit card statement that's due anytime.
On a lighter side, Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty) looks babelicious sporting a new haircut, don't you think! And he shakes his booty quite welll too! Kekekeke!
Anyway, you guys have a great weekend ahead! (Don't I sound chirpy?!)

Happy Thoughts

google image

You know what, instead of listing down all the unhappy things, why don't I make a list of things that I like?
Here I go!

(Not in any particular order)
1. Dogs.
Not just any dogs. I prefer big spunky ones. As cute as they are, I have reservations about petite pooches that require high-maintenance. No Fifi or Princess for me.
2. Pressies.
Don't you just love getting presents?
3. Books.
4. Harry Potter.
5. Naruto manga.
Hehehe. Hatake Kakashi, specifically.
6. Lancome Juicy Tube.
7. My D.I.Y. keychain.
8. Handycam.
9. Internet.
My playground. My heaven. Hahaha!
10. Smell of rain.
11. The half-boiled eggs my grandma makes for me every morning.
12. Beaches.
13. Music.
14. Clarinet.
I used to play clarinet when I was in my school military band and I had a solo when we played Tchaikovsky's Radeztsky March for some I-forgot-what band competition. It was great.
15. Pachabel's Canon.
16. Photography.
17. A perfect golf swing.

18. A mug of hot mocha latte during cold days.
19. Money.
Hahaha! Who doesn't!

Oh boy! There are so many things to be listed! 'Til next time!

A Lucky Friday The 13th

It was Friday the 13th yesterday and I received this call while at work:
Woman: Hello? May I speak to Ms. Rae Chang?
Rae: She's speaking.
Woman: I'm calling from Sony Malaysia and congratulations, Ms. Chang! You've won a consolation prize for Me, My Sony and I Contest!
Rae: I did? Wow... Thanks!
Woman: I'd like to reconfirm your delivery address so that we could send the prize to you by today.
Rae: k...! (excited)
Woman: Is it *** Persiaran Venice Sutera ** Desa Manjung Raya ***** Lumut Perak, correct?
Rae: Yea...!
Woman: Thank you, Ms. Chang. You shall receive the prize within 2 to 3 days. Congratulations again!
Rae: Oh, thanks..!
Woman: Bye!
Rae: Bye! (thought: Oh my gosh!)

Well, the conversation did not go that way. It was more like this:
Woman: Hello? May I speak to Ms. Rae Chang?
Rae: She's speaking.
Woman: Ms. Chang, I'm calling from Sony Malaysia and you've just won a consolation prize for Me, My Sony and I Contest.
Rae: Oh? .....k... (a bit blur)
Woman: Just want to reconfirm your delivery address. Is it *** Persiaran Venice Sutera ** Desa Manjung Raya ***** Lumut Perak, correct?
Rae: Yea, correct. (still blur)
Woman: Ok, we will send the prize by today. Thanks. Bye.
Rae: Ok, bye. (thought: WTF?!)

The call was abrupt and a bit rude I believe (not even a single 'congrats') but anyway.....
Kekekeke... it was pretty bizarre and unexpected as I thought I didn't win anything. The result for the contest was out on May 3rd and the consolation prize winners will be notified via e-mail. I didn't get any email and honestly, I was pretty disappointed that I didn't win (I thought the contest was pretty easy). I guess I was wrong. I did win. Hehehehe... I am so excited. The prize stated is Exclusive Premium. I wonder what it is. I hope it's not some t-shirt or cap. Hehehehe.... anyway... it's been a while since I've won something so... it's a good change. Oh yeah.... another thing to look forward to, the lucky draw!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

SGRDL Annual Dinner

Last night was our company's annual dinner and the theme was 'DAMAI LAUT HIGH PROM 2004' aka 'BACK TO SCHOOL'. We were supposed to dress up as a student.

(google image)

It was fun. Majority dressed up as a student and the General Manager was dressed up as the principal. I dug through my closet and found my old prefect uniform. It was at least 2 size larger! Check out the picture above! I looked so.... nerdy. Heck, I was even nominated as one of the best-dressed that night.

Anyway, Dee (former Jangan Ketawa cast - Malaysian hit show) was the emcee for the night. She/he was awesome. Hm.... I don't have anything to write already. Hmm... oh yeah we had lucky draw as well. The grand prize was 3 days 2 nights in Bangkok plus RM500 cash. Wow.... heh... I did not win anything. There's gonna be another lucky draw on May 17th. Am keeping my fingers crossed! I won a vacuum cleaner last year.

I'm out of ideas now. I honestly don't know what to write!

Walk Down the Memory Lane

I've been taking few walks down the memory lane. Partly because I have rekindled with few of my former school buddies. We talked about the silly stuff we used to do and managed to exchange few dirts.

(source: Google Image)

Thinking about those days is both fun and sad too. I liked Year 4 the best. Care-free, great buddies.... I used to had 3 bestest friends and we did almost everything together. We used to cycle around the town and we skipped school together (oh yeah we did.. we jumped over the fence... Nihihihi!) and we hid out at my place because my house was the nearest to the school. One time, we sneaked out to Pangkor Island during a school day and we did a pact to return to that place every year, on the same date, same time. All four of us were in this national program called 'The Young Enterprise'. Oh yeah, since one of us was the school volleyball playe, we used to play volleyball a lot! Almost everyday! And another funny thing about us was that we tend to like younger guys and we had this system (that only four of us would know) of naming the cute guys. It was like Baby A, Baby B, Baby C, Baby D and goes on. We had 'Babies' until H, if I'm not mistaken.... so silly now that when I think about it! We used to make prank calls to the 'babies'! Hahahaha! We even co-operated and cheated in our tests! Oh except one... she was in another class. We would go for breaks together. I could we were like glued to one another! Aa... schuck... I'm all sappy.
Since a couple of us were like the school beauties so we were rather popular and many girls were actually trying to get into our group. A classmate nicknamed us the '4 Heavenly Queens' (if you are a Hong Kong Pop fan, you would know what it loosely means. The legendary '4 Heavenly Kings': Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Leon Lai & Jacky Cheung... I know I know, it's lame!). Unfortunately, our bond only lasted a year. Well, to be exact, I fell out from the group. I said something hurtful to them without realising it before the year-end school holidays started. I was not aware that they were hurt and I did not keep in touch with them during the hol's as I went to KL to visit my preggie aunt and I got this weird allergy after taking a medication prescribed for headaches. So.. when we met in school, they avoided me. I was pretty dumb that time (partly because I did not remember that I said that hurtful thing to them) so I thought they were deserting me because I was transfered to an another class (we used to be in the best class). So I just kept quiet and became more of a recluse. I can't remember how many nights I cried myself to sleep, seriously.
I refused to make close friends (and I think I still do) as I felt betrayed. They found 2 new buddies and they were inseperable, like we used to. So, it was hurtful as I felt how easily I could be replaced. I never thought about their feelings. Now that I've grown 'wiser' (hehehe... I very much hope so), I realised how selfish I was at that time. I realised many things, like how they must have felt when I did not contact them during the holidays and they must have been thinking I was the one deserting them. I WAS SO STUPID! And about the 2 new additions: I felt special that they actually needed 2 persons to replace me! Kekekekeke, I am so vain! Oh, for your info, I had (and still have) no hard feelings towards the additions. I had no troubles with them and found them very easily to work with (you know.. the extra-curriculars we had....). I even met one of them (the additions) last CNY and had a great time catching up.
Oh well... now that it has been, what 7 years (?), **Rae sighs** I heard one of the Heavenly Queens is getting married next year. Congrats! I have nothing but best wishes to them. Well, I did think of contacting them and hope they are willing to listen to what I have to say but hmm... I'm too much of a egoist to do that (how about that? Isn't it ironic? Here I am baring my very soul to the whole world but not to them. To you guys who are reading this right now, you should count yourself lucky. Even my munchkin doesn't know about this, ha!). Anyway, should the 3 of you (you know who are you) stumble across this entry, I want to say how sorry I am and I have missed you guys. I'm sorry for taking so long to realise what I have done. I hope you guys have great life and appreciate the special bond you guys have now for me because I don't want you guys to regret like me. Many of the reasons I did not contact you guys because I can see how close you guys are with the other 2 and I don't want to take that special bond away from them. Also, we have grown and have our own lives, it's no use looking back.
Oh sh*t, now I feel like crying. I got to stop doing this now. I don't think I want to go through more emotional turmoils at this moment. I may resort to see a shrink (okay, this is a lame joke)! I guess this is the thing that has been holding me back all these years. Now that I've taken this out from my chest, I hope there will be peace in me. I've said too much and I don't even know what I am blabbing about now! Gosh, you guys must be thinking, "This girl really has some serious issues"!
Oh wow.... what an entry...
