Friday's night out was a blast. It was fun alright despite the exotic thingamajiq being quite a let down (only the 10.30 act was ok, the next two were 'ayer'...). The alco's weakest I've ever had (Popped a tequila but nothing happened. Thank God Chad's able to haggle it to $5 per pop... was tempted to kick that waiter-whatchamacallit's arse even though he's cute. *Bitch* No wonder that bartender gave us extra coupons...). The spins' eclectic. The crowd's, he he... many aunties leh... thank god I was with a group of awesome peeps. It's the company that mattered, really. And I reckon Harli and I left quite an impression after taking over the stage. Yeap...
Loads of pictures to prove how much fun we had but that gotta wait for me to load them up til tomaz or day after... my new toy arrives tomorrow! And oh... my first day at work too... mixed feelings. 5-days work (awesomeness) but gotta wake up as early as 7.00 a.m. sporadically... potential overseas training (oh please let me get London!). Oh gotta google up the easiest and cheapest way to work. Also, gotta get a new place in a couple of months' time. Lease's up soon. Am looking at Tiong Bahru area. Haiya~
A short trip to Phuket could be up next week. ^_^

Patrick Patrick... Where art Thou?
Yippie! After aeons of searching this pair, I finally found Spongebob... and it's only $2.00 from eBay (don't care if it's not new... I just have to have it!). What a fantastic find. Now Patrick's a bit tad hard to find. That's an understatement, truth be told. PATRICK'S IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! It's Patrick that I actually wanted. That soft toy's just so darn cute! Look at that! *Geram* Holla me back if you happen to stumble upon Patrick. SIA no longer have them... checked that at KrisShop. Oh there's Godiva @ KrisShop... bleh. By the way, I finally braved myself to go to Vivocity during daylight after one year... Wow... *Pat shoulder* the only time I dared step into Vivo was for the late night show with MCP. In fact, this time around was with MCP as well, for a lazy Sat lunch. We even made few turns around that Godiva outlet because we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat (either that or that MCP did it on purpose cos I told him the ex's there). Too bad the bastard wasn't there, wonder if he's still with Godiva hmm... But seriously, I don't feel anything anymore which is the best thing. What was I thinking back then!? Ok so I was a bit of a drama mama... It's over and done with. I don't give a hoot anymore. One of the nice things about MCP was that he offered to beat the crap outta that bastard. Bless him. Anyway, we were two lousy gourmands, indecisive to be exact. Another fine example of our indecisiveness; we spent almost an hour and were in two different stores to decide which dvd to watch. We ended up with Bridget Jones 2. Nice one. >_<
Oopsy daisy side-tracked. Heck even the SQ gorgeous peeps I know weren't aware of the existance of SIA-Spongebob merchandise. This is even funnier, there's this pilot who didn't even know who Spongebob was and he once pronounced Nickelodeon, Nickeldemon. Hah...

The World is Her Oyster
Today is a damn good day. I'm happy. I'm on top of the world. It's been a while since I feel that way. Many things are going to change. For better or worse, I know not but I'm not taking it lightly. I foresee amazing journey with the new company... *hint - look at my links to find out which company* I also participate lots of hardwork and blood-and-sweat thingamajiq. But hey... no good things come easily. Holy big and major responsibilities.

Ha ha one effing solid reason to party! Yippiee doo day! After one month of selling myself, I finally see the fruit of my coughhardworkcough. Truth be told, it's been quite an easy one for me... I got calls almost immediately after resumes were sent out and the employers were pretty much impressed. Few offers popped up but I was quite worried... and this one... I didn't even apply for it. Got head-hunted. Ha ha.. caution: Rae's got a very inflated ego right now. Oh... my workplace's near zouk... o_O is that a good thing?

Lost Cause
Rae made a somewhat resolution on her birthday. She's gonna stay as sober as long as she could. Ah oh well, that didn't last long, as a matter of fact, she's a bit intoxicated right now... while posting this entry. It's not really bad really, as she's doing it for MCP cos it's his birthday today, or rather yesterday. That freaking 151's burning my innards. Phew... that's kicking since the flaming flambo I had @ dbl o.
Maybe staying sober isn't a good thing... a month into this so-called resolution, I was chugging them like nobody's business while I was @ Balaclava. Old friends like James weren't big help, shitting away how Rae should learn how to hold her drinks... blueh... I can damn well hold my drinks. I took them all down with an empty stomach that's all. Luckily, only MCP witnessed how dodgy and silly Rae was aftermath. Ha ha ha! But it was all good. All good.
On a lighter side, Rae's gonna get a new toy soon... yippie! Yeah., she's one happy camper! Also, she's just bought that Lord of the Rings Extended Version so she's veging out in front of the idiot box until her eyeballs pop out...
Ah crap, splitting headache's hitting. I reckon it's another round tomorrow at Velvet... and Saturday again... probably Velvet as well. Yeah, all good hey. Oh god, this weird Aussie slang seriously has to go. All MCP's fault.

Dragon of Heaven
Have just finished poring over Anchee Min's Empress Orchid, a book that I've been wanting to read since I-forgot-when. It's quite an eye-opener as the author painted a totally polar opposite picture of the notorious Empress. The spelling of the names confused me further, making me think that I was reading another empress' biography. I read about her when I was about 13 or 14. My impression on Empress Cixi was created based on a gigantic book Mum bought from Readers' Digest. To me, she was a despotic and ruthless ruler, manipulated and monopolised the court behind curtains. My perceptions were parallel with what's on Wikipedia. Plus I was pretty surprised back then to see how she could be a consort, seeing how coughuglycough she was!? *Scratch head* The Emperor must be blind. Either that or he's just got bad taste. LOL
The way Min described her was... erm... very misleading.
One thing I like about the book is that how Min described the Han Chinese. Makes me damn proud to be a Chinese. *wink*
Anywho, the book spurred me into digging more about Chinese Imperial Court. It's very fascinating and scary at the same time. Hit the library to look for more fix (Already know what's on www) but hey, it wasn't much there, though I found a book about another interest of mine, Tutankhamen. Hah... surprised with my interest and knowledge in history? Heh despite my dodgy look, I've got effing distinction in History for my O's ok! Don't play play hor!

All Was Well
That's the last sentence of Harry Potter series. Sad... but hey it's one of the greatest adventures I've ever been on so yeah. Although I must point one thing out; the epilogue's corny. CHEESY BEYOND BELIEF! I was flummoxed especially by the namings for the .... hey hey ain't gonna do a spoiler for ya but oh yuck. Made me feel like reading one of those online fanfics sadly to say. And! And there's nothing much of Draco in the book! Ish.
Anyway, I haven't watch the Order of Phoenix yet. Shout this Slytherin chick a tix this Friday anyone? *Wink*
