It's Yellow 'Mums
The gorgeous white chrysanthemums have turned into brown 'mums so I replaced them
with playful yellow despite the shade doesn't really go with my room's color scheme but I'm ok with it because it's my favorite color.
Finally recovered from the tonshitlitis, I went to a gorgeous chill-out place tucked away in Gilman Village called Little Bali last night. The place is nice like Balinese spa you and I can find at any beach resort. The staff is friendly and casual and hip-looking but there's just one thing I can't help but diss about. The music they spin is of 80's and 90's ballads. Come on, man. It just killed the mood. I think it'd be perfect if they played traditional Balinese tunes that you usually hear when the masseur kneads your stress away. Haiya. And the mood was even killed more (if there's such a thing) that the girl next to the table was pissed drunk and was making a fool outta herself.
Anyway they probably serve the strongest martinis around. My chocolate martini was almost unbearable but the food was different. The grilled fish wrapped in banana leaf (I can't remember the name) that we ordered was one of the yummiest things we've tasted and it got me wanting to try to make by myself and this led us to 24-hours Cold Storage at Holland Village. Yes. Grocery shopping at 1.30 am, Friday night. A day and time where normal people would either sleep or club.
Bought heaps of stuff. Heaps. And stumbled upon the one of the biggest pumpkins I've ever seen (and you can find in Singapore) so I couldn't help but take the dodgiest picture.
Can your camera phone do this? Heh. I think only White Boy can do this. Don't know how it happened.
Woke up uncharacteristically early to go the wet market downstairs to buy more chicken cos whatever I have in the freezer is not enough to make soup. This time around: Snow lotus soup which supposedly will improve general health, clear phlegm persistant cough, prolong life expectancy and especially good for rheumatism. Hmm... yeah. Don't feel typing much so I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Settled with this Himalayan rock salt after being pressured into buying more premium salt. Normal salt: $0.20. Sea salt: whopping $5.05. Himalayan: $3.75. Plus it's pink. How awesome.

The result. No banana leaves and no grill, I settled for steam instead and I forwent fry as it's too much cleaning after. It tasted almost like Thai instead of Indonesian and I think I was too excited about tumeric that I 'sprinkled' too much of them. Hmm... Don't know why but the picture just won't behave regardless the number of times I rotate it. Fug it.
Totally irrelevant, Ikea multi-purpose clippers are just uber cool and pretty.

So I've finished Girls of the Playboy Mansion season 1 a couple of days ago and have been scouting for the following but to no avail. Don't feel like torrenting it so I entertain myself with something that I stumbled upon while searching for the aforementioned reality show; Bleach Rock Musical. YouTube is the best thing because I found the subbed ones there. Currently on Live Bankai Show part 5, I can't help being impressed by how close the resemblances are of the actors with the manga characters (except maybe Ichimaru's eyes are a tad too big and Hitsugaya but there's one part that just grossed me out and beyond: Aizen, Hitsugaya and KUCHIKI BYAKUYA doing a love song boyband style. *Faints* Kuchiki Byakuya singing love song and dance a la a Backstreet boy. It's just too bizarre to see Byakuya moving so much outside a battle. Too bizarre.
Other than that, I'm just glad that How I Met Your Mother Season 4 has started. Can't wait to see how Barney-Robin chapter develops.
