It Reveals Its Ugly Face Once a While
Check this little piece of news out.
Sometimes, I'm just really appalled how the peeps here react to things. They just have selfish funny way of handling things. I mean, of course humans are selfish funny but here, selfishness funniness is another whole new level. And just don't let me start on those Singaporean office girls. Hate Adore them biatches.
On a lighter side, Gym Class Heroes' Cookie Jar stuck in my head for quite a while now. It reminds me so much of a person I used to associated with. The song amuses me and I feel almost relieved for not doing what the heart said at that time. Saved me from perpetual heartache and stressing over keeping the addict away from the cookie jar.
Say, how is Chrome by the way? Have you guys tried Chrome? Hmm... I'm having no troubles with it so far except maybe aesthetically, it could be better? Firefox pmses on me at times, refusing to play at clips after 2 seconds and hangs when I'm on certain websites. Chrome's incognito window made me smile and left me imagining those husbands surfing, in glee, the porn sites and sites alike away behind the wife's back and this time, get to get away with it without leaving any trace.
Another piece of Sasha porn below.

A very pooped Sasha after another 3km walk but she didn't poo-poo. Yes. Another 16km to go.
Ok, gonna go chill out with some anime and rest early. Another 2km walk and it's gonna be a long day at work tomorrow. And also preparing what to wear for the week as we've got themes going on.
Store Christbo Gathering: As Red as Chilli - red cheongsam.
Rebajas Prep: Ripped Jeans - gonna cut more holes for that pair of ripped, maybe match with with white shirt, purple scarf and brown leather jacket. Oh so channeling Rihanna...
Rebajas Day 1: Party - that satin toga dress. Kinda not looking forward to it cos gotta wear heels. Cringe.
Rebajas Day 2: Tartan - I have no tartans. Shoot. Probably a tartan scarf? That yellow tartan scarf looks kinda nice on the Google Image but we have no yellow tartan.
Rebajas Day 3: It's Pants Day - easy peasy. Black city shorts and waistcoat.
Rebajas Day 4: Cruise - That black and white stripe polo and white city shorts.
Sounds kinda fun but I'm kinda lazy. Got too many workstuff going on in my head at the mo'.
You guys have a great week ahead.

81 Down, 19 To Go
My min/km has dropped quite drastically but I've been consistent. The kms I'm doing now are from walks with Ms Sasha Fierce. Perhaps a 10km later in the evening. Sans Ms. Sasha of course. Don't think she's up to it yet. Talking about her, she's gained weight for the past week and her muscles are more defined now. So yeah. That's all for today.
Thank you.

Dilemma: Lingering Effin' Too Long
I have been dodging this shit for a very long time. I'm hoping, maybe time will just wipe it out but hey, it's still there. It's not significant but it's there and it doesn't give me good feelings. I guess what I need is the closure. I mean, there was a closure but I did it half-assed.
I've been wanting to put an end to this matter but each time I wanna make the move, the time's just not right. Urgh. Would there be the 'right' time?
Forget it seemed easy and the right one but it's effin' easier said than done, ain't it?
Plus there's this icky feeling about making the move, it's almost like opening a can of worms.
Should I? Should I not?

Burps Like a Dude. Snores Like a Pig
Not me, I swear. It's Sasha.
A picture to show how huge is my tree and how mini is Sasha the Labrador.
I did a bad thing today. I left Sasha alone in the house for more than 12 hours, about 15 hours actually. Shit happened at work. I hope this won't happen again. I didn't even have time to drink, pee and have dinner. Was on the phone with Spain technical team the whole time. Sux ass big time. Spent more than $50 on cab in a day. Thank god it's claimable.
Update:: My girl's having her period. Mr. CC claimed her last period was on Spetember. How can that be? Spaying her would be the next thing to do... oh wait. I have to find her a place to stay next month when I'm homebound for CNY.
My girl sleeping after shower. Note that Topshop knickers I sacrificed for her. Like Ms. Coco, Sasha's a bit listless when on I-am-a-walking-male-dog-magnet period.

How honest are you on your blog, really?
I thought I was until recently. Me, like the rest of bloggers, blog-hop and there is this particular personal blog that appealed to me. I salute the blogger for being brutally honest about herself. Her ups-and-downs are downright transparent. I feel like a huge liar compared to her.
Having said that, I'm taken by the power of a blog. I mean, would you really know how would I be thinking or feeling now? Would you believe if I say that I'm depressed and lonely despite all the things going around me? Would you believe if I say I'm confused as fuck of why things are happening as they are now? Would you believe if I say I have not moved on from that shit even though it's been almost a year? Would you believe if I say I'm not happy even though things are looking better than before?
Well, the last entry of 2008 that I'm gonna pen will tell you what is 2008 to me. And that's about 16 days from now.

Different Stroke
So last night's zoukout was... a blast, I think? Hmm... I didn't go to zoukout.
I planned to stay at home spending some quality time with my girl, Sasha but a friend called up for a pool. Guess it's time to test the water to see how well will Sasha behave being left alone. So out I went for a pool, a burger at Geylang Lorong 10 amongst the working girls, a non-alcoholic drink and a session of talking cock.
Speaking of talking cock, one sensitive topic was served on my table during the ungodly hours. What do you think of cousin marriage?
My first reaction was 'Huh? Isn't that almost like incest?' Yes, friend is in that deep shit and knows not what to do . I know not what to say when asked what to do. 'Personally, I find it a bit weird but who am I to say' ended that taboo thingamajiq. I really wished I knew what to say to him and help him.
After that weird so-called discussion, I decided to call it a day, or a night...
And then Ms. Sasha welcomed me home with a massive pile of pee and poo. Thanks, girl.
Walks with her are quite disastrous. Seems like she recognises me as Alpha when at home, but not when we are on walks. Mr. CC, the previous owner let her run amok so guess she thinks she takes charge when on walks. No more, Ms. Sasha, no more. Started to train her on 'sit' command. She picked it up quite fast. Yesterday I was stuck with her associating sit with my touch on her butt not my vocal but today she surprised me by sitting with me just about to bend over to touch her.
So there.... looks like I'm mellowing down... people are starting to call me Auntie. That is kinda bad.

Sasha's Day
December 11th is Sasha's Day. Who is Sasha, you'd ask? See below.
That's Sasha. Sasha is a one-year-old pale Labrador but she's a bit tad small for a lab. She had be given up by her owner, Mr. CC because he got kicked out by his wife and Sasha and her 5 other pooch siblings were locked inside the toilet for nearly a month before the neighbors informed Mr. CC. Mr. CC had to break into his own house to save the dogs. The wife was no where to be seen. The dogs were in bad shape but all survived. Sasha was plagued by scabies, just like Mr. Milo.
That was 4 months ago.
And as you can see, she's getting back on track. There are still a couple of scratch wounds and her ears and eyes swell a bit still but she's healing. Her fur's growing back. What's great about her is that she's not affected by the ordeal at all. She's as spunky as ever.
That is why she is Sasha Chang now. My heart went for her because she's a fighter and a survivor. Just like my Milo and Aldo. Milo survived scabies and terminal tick fever. Aldo survived a hit-and-run and many many dogfights.
I thought of changing her name to Dakota but Mr. L said Sasha suits her and we can call her Sasha Fierce. -____-
She's a typical Lab. Hyper, loves her food and very very very playful. A bit too hyper and playful to my liking actually and her discipline needs to be worked on a lot. Chang dogs must know how to sit when being told. Chang dogs must be calm when being told. At wits' end, I made her run 2.5km with me in the evening so she's pooped now. Phew. One thing I have to point out that she's a racist. She barks at all darker skinned peeps that walk by. An issue that needs to be taken care of ASAP.
And she's the first dog I've ever seen that burps. XD
So December 11th is the day I brought her home. I hope it's gonna be a wonderful journey with her from now on.

Put Myself First and Make Rules as I Go
Beyonce's latest, If I were a Boy is a beautiful song with powerful meaning. She even looked gorgeous in the music video. In fact most of the songs in her new album are listenable albeit a couple of songs sung in Rihanna style and one sounds like Leona Lewis'. There's just this one thing I cannot take it. Her voice is too overpowering. She's definitely talented and all but her voice somehow is just too powerful and overbearing for me.
Anyway, I had a sudden recognition of my occasional laziness at work. Yes, I'm confessing that I can be rather lazy at work. Who aren't? Anyway, I think I'm easily bored with daily tasks. Argh, it's so mind-numbing. I need a constant flow of new challenges to avoid brain freeze.
Hmm... yeah, just that. I think I sound like a kid.
edit:: oh, about that FCUK Fall Winter Showcase. It felt like FCUK doesn't really think much about the value of our time. The invites printed 9-11pm. The freaking thing started at 10.30pm.

Doggone Missin' Me Dogs
Have you ever missed anyone that you can't help but cry?
I've never until today. I cried missing my dogs. I miss them so much you have no idea. :(
I'm contemplating to get a dog here. Should I? Should I not?
Been weighing the pros and cons. Should I be selfish? Would I be able to spend time with him looking at how demanding my job is? Should I get two dogs instead? Am I able to take care of two dogs? Such questions keep popping on my head.
Now I'd really love to get one or two from the SPCA but Singapore does have strict rules about keeping pets in HDB flats. SPCA dogs are usually Singapore Specials, which I don't mind. Mr. Aldo is a Malaysia Special. A truly special one I might wanna add. Mr. Aldo is the one who protects the family (and the kois too, mind you) plus he used to be the topdog of the neighborhood I kid you not. Before having his balls chopped off, he always pulled some great escapades and pick up fights with strays for that Alpha position and play you-know-what with the females. And he is very smart, able to open the gate himself and stuff. Mr. Milo's a golden retriever mix but he's handsome as hell. Lazy but he's quite smart at times. Plus he's a fighter and a survivor. And he doesn't chicken out when he's at vet's. Ms. Coco is a Maltese mix. Enough said.
Anyway, back to my point. I don't think SPCA are keen of me getting two dogs.
Ideally, I would wanna raise them myself. Raised all me dogs myself. So getting pups from petstore seems to be the best choice but that seems so wrong...
Not only that, What sort of breed do I get? Beagles are the most awesome dogs in the world but they are too loud and too spunky to stay in a flat. Love Goldies to death but they are bit tad huge. Ditto to Labradors. Hmm... speaking of labs, I did once compare a friend with a lab. They have one similarity: gain weight easily. Pissed the hell outta that friend. Ah yeah, labradors are gluttons. Not easy. Maltese... one Coco is enough. Poodle, a good choice as they don't shed (read: no dog hair all over the house) but I don't really like poodles. Yorkshires... a bit tad small. Westies are great but the weather is a bit too humid for them. So it boils down to one breed: Dachshunds. Yes, the weinerdog. Size? Small, but not too small. Fur? Short hair. Exercise? Doesn't require much. All translates to LOW MAINTENANCE. Cuteness department? Need I say? Sounds perfect. But I've always liked big spunky dogs. Sigh.
Wish there are two goldie puppies at my front door tomorrow. :(
Adendum: The famous 10 promises to My Dog (which I choose not to watch. I'd be crying buckets):
1. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
2. Place your trust in me. It's crucial to my well-being.
3. Be aware that however you treat me I will never forget it.
4. Before you scold me for being lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
5. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when it's speaking to me.
6. Remember before you hit me, I have teeth that could hurt you, but that I choose not to bite you.
7. Take care of me when I get old.
8. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful for me.
9. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I have only you.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember I love you .

The Acquired Taste and The Missing Spongebob
Chinese who hate century eggs should be ashamed of themselves.
Ok that sounded kinda mean but hey...
I was jonesing over it like a preggie woman earlier so I'm having two for dessert now. Heh.
Ok I will admit it's an acquired taste and it looked kinda gross. But when you get over that odor of ammonia and have it with heaps of pickled ginger, oh man it feels like the heaven shines its light upon you.
Now, nouveaux century eggs can be made according to Harold McGee, a food science dude. First soak eggs a 5% sodium Chloride, 4.2% Sodium Hydroxide solution for 8 days and then cooking at 70 degrees centigrade for about 10 minutes. Instead of dark green yolk and dark brown jelly-looking, nouveoaux century eggs have a set of yellow yolk and colorless white. Ain't that uber cool. I wonder if I should try making it.
Anyway... lost/left my house keys the other day. Left them in a cab. Thank god I managed to retrieve them. Felt kinda stupid cos my key chain is humongous (Topshop strips of ribbons and some crystals) so it was easy to be spotted plus it has a Spongebob. Felt kinda embarrassed when describing them to the Lost and Found over the phone. I swear I heard a chuckle over the phone when I said Spongebob. &@#^&%@(*
On another note, I'm missing Suikoden long time. Oh my god, I want a PS3 but there isn't any Suikoden for PS3 yet. There are talks about Suikoden being listed for PSP and PS3 on ersb.com but nothing is concrete. If I buy PS2 to feed my Suikoden fix and then Konami kicks up a Suikoden VI PS3 compatible, I'd kill myself. But if I buy PS3 and Konami has no plans for a Suikoden PS3 compatible, I'd hang myself. And that satin silver PS3 looks so sexy-until-can-die.com. And Sony released a limited edition 160GB last month. HOW???????????????????????

Getting Ready
So I finally got my very own Christbo tree and it's probably one of the cheapest ones around. Didn't get Ikea's as it looks really weird and... hmm... bald? Carrefour's having one of the best promos in Singapore.
My expenditure:1.8m tree: $19.90
A box of themed trinkets: $19.90
2 trays of ribbons: $3.80
Lights: $7.90
TOTAL VALUE= $51.50 = a very happy Rae.
Dirt cheap.
A fellow manager claimed that Carrefour had a better deal last week, where the box of themed trinkets' free when you buy a 1.8m tree. Fucken &@#^%@^@&#
. Went to get those stuff at Carrefour Suntec with the other two managers after running around the downtown stores for the whole day. Spent at least 3 hours setting it up and I think I was too meticulous anal. Every branch had to perfectly bent and spread out. Every trinket had to be perfectly hung. Every light had to be perfectly placed and not blocked. Every bow had to be perfectly tied. Oh my christbo tree is of F/W08 key colour; PURPLE. Instead of placing a star or an angel at the tip of the tree, I made a huge bow.
Really feeling the christbo spirit, I had carols blasting from White Boy while I was doing the tree. Listening to Alvin and The Chipmunks really made me wanna watch the cartoon again. I think I'm gonna google them up. I'm sure I can find such classics online.
Other than that, I think I'm gonna hit the sack. Fucken tired. And gonna hit Ikea tomaz to buy some wrappers and bows to make mock presents to put under the tree. Hmm.. maybe gonna get some more trinkets too. And maybe a star. Or not. Last time check, Ikea's star ain't that nice.
Addendum @ 1000 hours: Ok the more I looked at the tree, the more imperfect it is. I think the lights are too little. The huge bow at the tip of the tree isn't that 'huge'. not enough ribbons and trinket on the tree. Argh! Definitely need some more stuff.

Holding Rae Up
I. Am. So. Tired.
Bleh.
Anyway, let us do a low down on what's been going on Rae's planet.
Work. Work. Work. Work. Work.
Not particularly interesting, is it not?
Apart from that, my wardrobe has its problem recurring. It's bursting again. Funny, there are days that I find myself staring at the wardrobe and have nothing to wear to work. Pain of being a girl.
Have a few exciting stuff to attend/do lining up for this month; a FCUK fall winter showcase this weekend, zoukout next weekend and the crazy two weeks at work later. And I remember I have a girlfriend having a stopover from her Ind-Jpn or something like that.
Other than that, perhaps I'd like to point out this blog's turning 3 this month. And of course, it's the final month of the year. Quite a time to reflect and stuff like that. This year's definitely a better ride. Lord's definitely been good to me this time around. Amen....
Ah... I'm starting to sound erratic so I guess I'm gonna take leave for now.
Cheerio.

My Poison
My tonshitlitis hurts so bad that I've been sucking on Strepsils a lot. A lot. Being curious and paranoid, I Googled it just to be safe. Don't really wanna be the "Girl died of Strepsils OD" headline the next day. I cannot drag this thing no more. Definitely gonna schedule a tonshitlectomy after CNY. Now what I need to do is to find that referral letter the company physician had issued to me. Hmm...
Didn't go to Zirca that opening night by the way. The queue was so long that it reached the taxi stand. We went to OneRochester for a chill-out instead but we became mozzies' food. WTFBBQSAUCE.
I forwent alcoholic drinks that night so I'm quite proud of myself. Oh yeah I've made a resolution last week; TO GIVE UP BOOZE. You see, me nails are brittle and almost unsightly since last year; one of the side effects of drinking ahemtoomuch, and only god knows what's going on with my liver and the rest of the team. Temperance was the thing for more than a month before last week and I realised my nails were getting healthier and remarkably stronger. I didn't even booze during 'ween party. Then I thought 'ok, maybe a drink or two won't hurt' when I was at St. J few days after 'ween but 'a drink or two' became a jug and many many more after that. Now I'm back with shitty nails. Argh!
God blessed me with this body so I should take good care of myself. Hm.... I remembered spitting that out to my young cousin when he refused to shower few years back.
Never matter, I can start all over again. Temperance is the key. I know clubbing can be fun without booze. ;)
Anyway, I couldn't reach my nike+ goal so I gotta give it up.
Robin Thicke's Lost Without U demands major airplay on my iTunes.
p.s. - I so want to wear that BCBG Maxazria aqua handkerchief dress to zoukOut...
