Doggone Pissed

I'm doggone pissed with Sasha's previous owner. The more I think about what he's said, the more fishy he was. Was trying to get Sasha's medical history from him but to no avail. Told me she was in heat in September but she had her period again a couple of days after I got her home. Claimed she was microchipped but none was detected when we were at the vet today. NabehCCB motherfucka of a pet owner.
Got a strong feeling this dude got her for breeding purpose.
Today was Sasha's day to the Vet. Hmm... she got pretty curious and anxious at the same time. There was a massive Lab waiting to be checked, probably 3 times her size... kinda gave me the 'oh-oh' feeling. Sasha's got her personal driver now by the way and his name is Lawrence. And he was very helpful and I would recommend to anyone who require a pet taxi. Thought the giant Lab was friendly so I let Ms Sasha sniff and socialise a bit but things got rowdy. Ms. Sasha got fierce that I had to pull her back. According to Lawrence, the giant Lab snarled at her first. Ah well.
Her ears were badly infected. Kinda my fault for dragging the vet visit too long. They couldn't trace any mites or demodex that cause scabies so that's quite a good news. A VERY good news actually. Overall, I didn't think it was a pleasant trip for her. When we got home, I cleaned her ears according to vet's instruction. She is now ignoring me, sleeping under the bed, not budging even when I was eating my chicken soup. Come on, Lab not reacting to food... that's almost impossible for untrained Labs like her. Ah well, perhaps she's just tired.
Moving on, I've been jonesing for pig trotters with black vinegar. I was rather disappointed that none was served at Chili Padi Peranakan Restaurant at Joo Chiat Place the other evening (by the way, the food was really nice, I felt like home...). Might whip it up tomorrow.

I just saw this post after I commented on your latest one. So indeed she's a lab. We used to have a beagle here, and the vet told us that dogs with downward flappy ears need regular cleaning. So I cleaned my beagle, Brandy's ears every week, using cotton bud and alcohol. She didn't like it but I still had to do it, otherwise her ear infection (in one of her ears) will get worse. But she sure loved the treats I gave her after every cleaning sessions! She never liked going to the vet too, because that's when she went through her anal glands expression. But towards the last half year of her life, we went to the vet very frequently because she had mammary carcinova (canine breast cancer), and it's even more painful for all of us the last month of her life. She had no appetite and she couldn't walk. I had to use the syringe to feed her baby food, so that she had filled tummy. Finally, when she discharged black stool one day while she was laying on her bed, we knew her time had come. We rushed her to the emergency vet hospital, and the vet said the cancerous cells had attacked most of her organs and her blood cells had dropped dangerously. There was nothing we could do except to euthanize her. We got her from a local pet adoption, and she was originally rescued from a puppy mill, where she was a breeder. She was only with us exactly 1 year, but she certainly brought so much joy to us - we treated her like a child, and she even slept with us. You know, the vet said that all female dogs need to be spayed before their first heat or before they turn one year old, because the chances of these dogs getting breast cancer can be reduced dramatically.
